Even when the code club is not meeting at the library, you can still log in from home. Go to app.prenda.co and select Cherokee County Public Library during registration.
So what is Code Club? In March of 2019, our library received a grant for a weekly code club through Prenda. In this informal setting, kids learn programming skills through a series of tutorials and projects. They use these skills to build websites, video games, phone apps, animations, and more. They learn how to become better problem solvers and critical thinkers. These are marketable skills that will transfer well as they move into the workforce.
Code Club also provides opportunities for kids to work together to solve problems. In addition to coding on the computers, the kids get a chance to work with robots. Showcases are scattered throughout the year so our coders have an opportunity to show the community all the great skills that they have acquired. Call library and ask for Dana or Rebecca for more info!
